Data Enrichment

We only use publicly information that could be accessed by a manual researcher. This includes public webpages and search results, national registries such as Companies House and the Charity Commission, and official professional registries.

We never access private databases, restricted systems, or credentials-protect content. We do not use any data that is not publicly available, and we do not use any data that would require special access or permissions to obtain.

We provide a full profile for all alumni, including all relevant information found on:

  • Current employment information
  • Career history
  • Company directorships and charity trusteeships
  • Honours and titles
  • Notable achievements
  • Due diligence risks
We then use propriety models to provide estimates of income, wealth and giving capacity, as well as an estimate of likely career seniority and progression over the medium-term.

We also offer a range of other services, such as bespoke analytics, mentoring allocation, and deep due diligence research.

To us, data enrichment involves supplementing existing alumni records with information which will inform and assist Development Offices in a range of activities. We believe in making life as easy as possible for fundraising campaigns and alumni relations.

This involves several stages:

  1. We start with a basic alumni record provided by the institution, including such info as name, subject, graduation year, etc.
  2. We then use this information to search for relevant data across a wide range of public sources.
  3. A custom identity resolution engine is applied to ensure any information kept refers to the alum in question.
  4. Finally, we distill the key points of the information retrieved to and compile a full profile, along with a bibliography of data sources used.

Yes. We have carefully designed our data retrieval and enrichment process to ensure the highest possible standard of accuracy and relevance, whilst still providing comprehensive profiles. This involves cross-referencing key facts from a diverse array of sources, where available.

We also include a bibliography of sources used for each profile, so institutions can verify the information provided if desired.

We have also carried out a series of tests alongside manual research, to check for false positives and negatives, finding a high level of sensitivity and specificity in our output. For further details of precise test results, please do get in touch.

Analysis & Reports

We are always developing further analytics, and we are happy to discuss and tailor our work to the specific needs of your institution. However, our core analytics include:

  • Wealth and income estimates
  • Giving capacity estimates
  • Medium-term career trajectory estimates
  • Custom segmentation and scoring frameworks
Please do get in touch if you have further specific needs or ideas for analytics that would be useful.

Yes, absolutely. All data passed into our models is fully disclosed and any scoring frameworks or modelling approaches are clearly documented and justified. We do not rely on opaque or black-box decision-making. Unlike other providers of rating services, our outputs are clearly interpretable, rather than just confusing numbers on a page.

We are flexible in tailoring our output to the specific needs of the organisation at hand. We generally provide a range of scored datasets, segmentation files, summary reports, and interpretative guidance outlining how to use our work to support development and alumni engagement decisions.

Pricing

Pricing is based on project scope, data volume, and analytical depth. In addition to our core data enrichment and analytics services, we also offer a range of bespoke services, such as deep-dive research, mentoring allocation, and custom reporting, which are each priced separately.

We believe in simple, scalable pricing without any hidden fees or taxes.

Please see our Pricing page for more information, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any specific questions about pricing or would like a quote.

Whilst we recommend our clients subscribe on an annual basis, no long-term commitment is required. Institutions have the flexibility to engage AlmaReach on a project or periodic basis. However, an annual subscription ensures our clients have the most up-to-date information and analysis.

Data Privacy

No. AlmaReach does not retain any personal alumni data after enrichment and analysis are complete. All relevant material is passed on to the client institution, and then deleted from our systems. We adhere strictly to best practice in GDPR and data minimisation. Please see our GDPR page for our complete Privacy Policy.

Yes. In line with GDPR, individuals may request blocking of data enrichment or processing at any time, and any such requests are handled promptly. This includes requests for data blocking we receive from client institutions on behalf of alumni. Please see our GDPR page for more information.

No. Our use of AI is restricted to tasks that would be unfeasible without such tools. All our models are pre-trained and we use premium APIs with training turned-off. Please consult our Privacy Policy and AI Policy on our GDPR page for more information.
